My caseworker and I are at our plateau of level of frustration.
The building I signed the lease for is The Wilfrid East and West. The apartment is on the East side. I signed the lease July 1st. I live in a shelter where caseworkers and supervisors are pretty connected to DHS. After I signed the lease, I was supposed to move out once management received their payments. DHS hasn’t paid them because the first obstacle was the deed of the building did not match with whom the payment was supposed to go to. So the solution was management sent DHS the nominee agreement. DHS said okay that will suffice. Then, they realized that management had not sent building registration and inspection clearance form. My caseworker waited weeks upon weeks because according to management those results were pending. Finally, management sent over the form to us and DHS but as you can see, it’s for the wrong apartment in the building. So now I’m stuck. My caseworker is working diligently with DHS to find the correct form but seems to have lost hope with communicating with management. Every time we would email Ashana, it takes forever to respond back or she goes on vacation and has Crystal take over. I’m feeling overwhelmed. I signed my lease a month and half ahead of my associates in my building yet they have all moved out within the past two weeks into their own apartments. I don’t know if at this point should I wait for this process to be over because how long are they gonna hold the apartment without payment? or just move onto another apartment which would even more time because I would be looking from scratch and I’ve been in the shelter a few years now. It’s time move on.

I don’t have an answer as I’m not sure but you should block out your unit number or take the pics with your unit down for your safety. I hope you get your answer soon I was in a shelter years ago with my kids and know how it feels and wanting to leaving ASAP to be somewhere to call home and not have restrictions.
The Apt is yours once an apt# has been assigned to you, Don’t panick they are already in a contract with the city!! Trust the process or it will drive you crazy!! These new developers are unschooled in program vouchers & don’t know the paperwork work involved.. REMOVE YOUR INFORMATION!!!!
Hopefully you have resolved this. Crystal is no longer with the management agency.
