Is anyone applying to this? I am thinking about it only out of desperation of options for my AMI, mostly everything up on site is out of my range and the ones I can apply are in areas I truly can't deal with or in a supportive housing building that I absolutely don't want to live in with my child, I worked at one before that sealed my opinion. So this Ryer building I really don't want to but argh

@FreedomChaser - I relate so much to your post!! There are very little options for my AMI as well, the ones that are i don't care for the neighborhoods. Supportive housing is really a gamble and something i don't trust!! Were you able to apply to the 425 Grand Concourse? The area is not too bad and they offered several AMI options. I'm wishing you the best of luck during this journey.

I’m in the same boat as both of you. Can you explained what supportive housing is please? It seems like my AMI is mostly that but don’t understand what it means.

I applied for 425 Grand Concourse. The area around the concourse is not bad, but once you make your way down 149th Street toward 3rd Avenue and past Lincoln Hospital, it is horrible. But improvements in housing are growing around the South Bronx and this building is very nice, so it could be worth it in the long run. I just wish they’d stop skimping on the nicer amenities in Bronx buildings like you’d see in Brooklyn and Queens.

Its awful, I feel so discriminated and surrogated, we are herded into staying locked into areas that are not safe or a building that is not safe because if you put all the lower AMI's only in crime infest neighborhoods and be damned if you have issue cause you have to be grateful (yes I am always grateful) but damn its sickening but it's obvious why its done smh

yes I applied to 425 but got 18XXX log so that a long shot with so many going for that lower AMI I am in .

Yes it is really bad when You go to that train station on grand concourse or third ave station, I was really apprehensive applying I really don't like the area where I need to catch train and shop etc is truly not safe but it was the better option compared to other bronx buildings up on HC that I absolutely refuse to live in those blocks, If am going to move I don't want to move to even worst area. Nice building but can't enjoy neighborhood ? that is a miserable experience. My area is not great now but it helps we have a sufficient middle class and wealthier neighborhoods mixed but some of the other bronx building on HC are just no mixed income etc to help balance feel of area a bit.
