Anyone else feel like they live with their neighbors? Anytime they drop something/have an argument it sounds as if it’s coming from my own apartment. The kids running around 24:7 makes it 10x worse.

I’m not sure what these old buildings have in between each unit in terms of sound proofing (if they even attempted that) but it’s complete trash. Hearing the ppl above me get up in the middle of the night to pee is just flat out annoying.

I could name at least 10 things but my MAJOR issue is WATERBUGS! Being in a studio and having freaking waterbugs coming from within the apt(Kitchen area) and being petrified of them is the WORSSST. Also, maintenance and the exterminator coming in to "fix" the problem mulitple times only for it still to be an issue, even up to this day. It has definitely messed with my eating and sleeping habits.

Damn I’m so sorry to hear that . And it’s a studio so there’s really nowhere to run from them bugs.

Use this to try and control the waterbugs. With shared walls you will not be able to eliminate them totally, but should help some. https://home.howstuffworks.com/how-t...boric-acid.htm

I have looked into this before, but this building is an old building and with me being on the 1st floor and above the basement, there's not much I can do. I've literally had them outside my door as well. Smh, FML!

OMG you definitely need to win a new lottery apartment and I will hope and pray that you do! I had that problem with my old apartment and it did nothing but bring me extreme mental distress. I moved from a one bedroom to a brand new studio exactly because of this. Even if I had to pay 400 dollars more!

Thank you!! Someone who understands, the mental distress is sooo real. Hopefully I get something soon, fingers crossed.
