They told me I qualify for the $1,3** studio, the $1,4** 1 bedroom and the $1,5** studio. They had 0 information about the difference between the units except for the obvious 1 bedroom having a separate bedroom.
Does anyone know if this is part of The Axel at 545 Vanderbilt just with a "poor door" further down? The Axel has some incredible amenities including gym and fitness studios. The Housing Connect page for 539 Vanderbilt only lists pool and "outdoor spaces". I'm hoping they give me the choice of having access to the other amenities for a fee like many other lottery buildings do.
They have amenities! It's $75/month, but the pool isn't built yet and will be a separate price (they didn't tell me what it was). And yep, it's 545 Vanderbilt - that's the building you'll go to for your tour. Same amenities as listed on streeteasy (and in unit W/D!)
So weird that they didn't give you more info...the process has been pretty disorganized on my end

It looks like my theory of some of the 1 Bedrooms with an extra room for a home office may have been correct after all.
What was your log number, btw. Do you have any preferences?

To me it seems pretty calculated. They probably don't want folks viewing multiple apartments and go back and inform others what the layouts are. They probably want you to go in blind and whatever you pick, you're stuck with.
Good afternoon everyone how realistic is it for me to get an apartment here i fit the income requirement and my log# is 728 , last i currently live with my parents my zipcode is 11238 539 vanderbilt has the same zipcode so does that mean i have communityboard preference?

Zip codes mean nothing. You have to look up the community board map for Brooklyn and see what community board your address falls in. I can tell you right now, that neither Crown Heights nor Prospect heights fall within the community board for this building, which encompasses Clinton Hill and parts of Fort Greene. But don’t takw my word for it. Look it up.
Random thought. Does any body knows if the units will have a dishwasher in them?
Yep! Dishwasher and Washer Dryer. No microwave though.
