Hi, I'm being considered for an apartment at this building and found this thread very helpful. For those with an 70% AMI who signed a lease: does the lease have a provision requiring yearly income recertification? I'm worried that if my AMI changes next year, I'd be disqualified and have to move. I've already done a lot of research on rent stabilization and the 421a program, but the 70% AMI units fall under the Mandatory Inclusionary Housing Program (MIH) that is more restrictive than just 421a and may require more income monitoring. My marketing agent said that may be the case, but my research has shown that marketing agents can be mistaken when giving such info, especially since terms tend to change from project to project, so I'd like to get the correct info from someone who has actually signed a lease for affordable housing in this income bracket. Thank you!
Did you ever see the two bed room and do you know how many is left ?
I did! Very pretty, but tiny. One bedroom is decent-sized, but the other is like a kid's room. It can fit a full-sized bed and a desk but not much more. A queen might fit, but it's gonna be cramped as hell in there. I don't know how many apts are left.
Okay wow! Everybody keeps saying it’s tiny but as long as you can fit queen sizes beds in them that’s fine with me , Did the one they showed you had white appliances ?
Yep. I think all affordable units have white appliances. It's not a deal breaker for me.
