I was recently asked to submit documents for a building with 1 unit left and my log # is 1xx. I know it is impossible to tell but do I have a decent chance of getting it? Any idea how big the batches are that they request to send documents in at the same time?

I think so. I got a unit (of 2 available) with a log number of 2xx.

The madding part is that with a 1xx lottery number you can assume with few exceptions that the maximum number of applicants ahead of you is 198. But you almost no clue as to how many of the 198 are actually still active. We can only guess how many of the 198 lost interest (left town or what not) or rejected an offer. Heck, you might take a quick look at the unit and conclude it’s not for you in a minute. The non active number can be high because people enter these free lotteries who don’t qualify for them.

Good luck and good patience.
