Thanks! I keep telling myself... NYC has no shortage of luxurious apartment buildings with an impressive amenities but when you were 'landed' in one where your workplace is on your doorstep with an amazing landlord that prioritizes their tenants' well being by maintaining their building professionally plus not greedy, & pet friendly... That's what I call it a blessing!!!
I'm glad I don't' ever have to take a subway again for work
Y’all are lucky!! I also work right by Summit and that would’ve been a dream!! If I get approved for SVEN I’ll still have to take the subway
I actually hope you get approved for SVEN because it's a beautiful building. I have the same landlord as SVEN and I see advertisements in the elevator for that building. It says, "Get $2,000 off of rent on your first month!" I think about this forum when I see that ad
I sat across from someone who literally sat in his seat and urinated, he could have been drunk, high or sick (which of course would be sad) but I wasn’t trying to find out. I flew out of that seat so fast. So yeah that made me wish I was working from home all five days, that and Winter…

Thank you!!! Location of SVEN is great for me to see family on Long Island but I would’ve loveddddd one of durst’s other buildings in the city (always been a dream of mine to live in the city).
I think I read some of your other posts that you do love your building and I’m so happy for you!
So appreciative of this lottery process bc I would never be able to afford these type of buildings without.
When I still lived in Queens, it was my dream to get an apartment in the area where Sven is as my train passed by it everyday. That area is the easiest access to go anywhere with public transportation & super close to Manhattan! (I don't drive). So yeah, hopefully you'll get approved for Sven!!!

The only reason I applied the housing lottery at that time because I wanted to live in the building where I am now but I can't afford it because the MR rent is crazy, we are talking about a studio $4500 & up, 1BR $5500 & up, 2BR $8000 & up. So it's literally my dream home, one & only!
I was lucky to win a unit at 120% AMI instead of 130% AMI, though I wouldn't mind because the rent price is still wayyy cheaper. My alcove studio MR rent price is $5300 now & here I am, paying less than $2K... and rent-stabilized!!

If I never won this unit perhaps I would have still lived in my MR apartment as I also loved it!
Your apartment slays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it! My problem is that I keep winning 130 ami apartments, but they are not worth the money. I expect the 130 ami to be sizeable apartments in luxury buildings and great neighborhoods. Hopefully, I can win one like this soon!
