Hello all,
I worked 5 extra hours a week for the past 6 weeks which makes me go over my AMI/income bracket. My employer provided me with a letter stating that I am no longer working those extra hours. At the moment I am back to working my regular schedule which puts me back within the bracket. Do I still have a chance? Or will I get rejected for going over the bracket.

Thank you in advance!

I quit a job (before I was called for the apartment) and gave in my last paystub from said position. I don't believe they counted it because it didn't make me go over my AMI/income bracket

It is possible that you could be rejected after they calculate your income (plus any assets which add on to your overall income). But if they do, you can always appeal. I had to do that years ago for the building I'm in now, I was working a ton of overtime which put me over, so I appealed with my next check, which I was only working my regular hours and it put me back under

Yes you can be rejected on too much or not enough income. Such a rejection can be appealed at which point they might review present income, paychecks and so on instead of the income that was submitted previously. Good luck.

Even if my employment verification letter form that my employer filled out says my regular work schedule +pay rate and a letter stating that I’m no longer working those extra hours?

Yes. I pleaded the same thing a very long time ago. Income is income to them, even if it’s temporary. My overtime pushed me into a higher AMI bracket and I paid the higher rent. Thankfully there was a higher bracket and not just a rejection.
