I phrased it funny. So I can see why you would think that. My bad.

No worries! I always wanted a three-bedroom when my daughter was young.

It is strange that you're not getting offers for two-bedrooms though. I don't think they're that scarce. When you're applying to buildings, you're seeing that they also have two-bedrooms, right? And you qualify for them, income wise?

Yes, they have them but I think the way things are shaking out, my log numbers are too high and we overlap two AMI’s. I think some of these really expensive buildings are having a harder time filling the 130AMI bedrooms. So they’re offering them to families of three.

Good Luck, May you get that call for the 2+ bedrooms soon. When I moved into my studio 4 years ago it was fine as a solo person. A lot can and has happened in 4 years ie. a pandemic, marriage, birth, death & so much more so sending you some lottery abundance. Please, send some of your luck with getting called up for a 1 bedroom my way because my spouse and I are having a hard time not completely losing it in a studio esp on the days I get to work from home wowza.

Oh man I can’t imagine living in a 1 bedroom apartment with a partner let alone a studio. By 1 bedroom apartment I mean these new small luxury ones.

Hope you get called for something good soon!

I don't blame OP, but anyone on here answering directly contrary to the marketing handbook should be a little embarrassed. A 3-person household is eligible for a three-bedroom. It's been that way for quite some time now. It's just that they're relatively rare.

At minimum a three bedroom apartment means five rooms in total; that's a pretty large unit.

Developers aren't doing many large apartments even for market rate housing in terms of rentals; condos are a different story.

There is and has been for years now great demand for "family sized" apartments. Developers largely have responded by building condos or other luxury housing with larger floorplans which explains shortage of studio and one bedroom apartments.

I wish I could share it with you through the ether somehow. I lived in a studio with my spouse for years and years, so I know how challenging it can be. Thankfully neither of us worked from home at that time. I’m sure there are couples and single people who desperately need a one bedroom. Hopefully we’ll both get out magic call soon!
