like " everyone else said " but what stormgal posted doesnt make sense if they waited for her but she had to pay the rent and security deposit up front.. what did they wait for? and you stating pre clearance your situation doesnt apply to mines, i dont need the apartment to be inspected or anything.
You’re way too hostile for no reason, my response wasn’t to be rude lol, you asked a question and people answer, I waited 3 months for my one shot deal so my situation is similar to yours, are you okay????

yes i am okay thanks for asking .. i took that " like everyone else said " to be disrespectful because i know how to read .. its just none of yall situations apply to mine. I read on facebook somebody got approved for they housing connect apartment but did not have the first month rent and security so they applied for a one shot deal and they provided the leasing agent confirmation now they are going to hold the unit untill the one shot deal come thru for up to 30 days. She doesnt have to wait for inspection/clearance or anything else. So are you okay?

No are you okay? Can you comprehend the advice that multiple people gave you? You asked a question everyone applied , you’re being hostile and it’s extremely unnecessary. No one can tell you for sure ask your management office directly, why don't you direct any questions to them? Its up to the management office, they waited 3 months for me. Im legit confused where you’re getting at. No situation is exactly the same, I get it but multiple people answered your question. You should call your management office on stead of being on here being sarcastic and rude and hopefully your one shot deal is approved before 30 days. Enjoy the rest of your day!
Every management is different and depending on how fast the one shot deal moves some management companies won’t give that much time the most I have seen is maybe 2-3 weeks

Check the handbook; there is no 30-day rule. You would have to be lucky with the agent giving you time and the one-shot deal coming through quickly, neither of which is guaranteed. That doesn't mean you shouldn't apply, but you should be aware that there's a risk and plan accordingly.
(If I were in such bad financial shape, I would not be so nasty to people just trying to help me.)

" such a bad financial shape ) because im paying $1750 for rent every month for the place im currently in , which im going to pay in may as well so if they tell me to move in right away, i dont wanna have to give up all my savings ( rent , moving cost etc ) so thank you.
" if i had not paid right away " technically they didnt hold it for you lmaooo you paid for that month
No I did not. I won my new place on August 1. I called my landlord to break my two year lease and they told me the earliest I can leave is on September 30th. I called my new landlord and asked if I can move in on October 1, and they agreed. So I paid the rent and security deposit for October 1. My rent statement that I got on October 25th had a zero balance.
If you are actually okay with paying your rent yourself, you shouldn't be asking the city to pay it for you. One-shot deals for rent are for people who really need them to avoid or get out of homelessness. There are a lot of people who do and not an infinite budget to help them. Nobody *likes* double-paying rent or having to put up a security deposit.
Hey so I've been reading on Facebook as well that if you are expecting to receive a one shot deal, housing connect will hold your unit ( after approval ) for you for 30 days?
Can you send the link to that group on Facebook?
