Of course, if we'd had actual legislators rather than clowns in the first place, it would never have come to this. (For the record, 1--I'm one of the residents in this state who actually votes. And 2--I did not vote for any of those people).

By the way, I love the imagery presented by that phrase, "state shutdown."

Wondering why the should be congratulated.

The extension only lasts a week then NY is back to were it started on the brink of being shutdown again..

No budget since April and still none in the making.

Thinking its time for NY'ers to stop putting these Senators in there that are getting paid to sit on the behind.

Start docking their pay for everyday there isn't a budget and see how fast one is put in place.

This is coming for a NY'er that moved across the river but still works in NY.

New York State is home to some of the sleaziest, scummiest, most corrupt politicians in the country. They should be congratulated from saving us from themselves?
