Hey, I'm a 22 year old intern, post-grad living in Brooklyn right now, I work for a small design firm and everyone there is pretty damn older then me, I have family in the city but their all older then me or wayy to younger for me to hang out with, i know the city well but i just really don't have many friends, and I feel awkward going to bars by myself....

Whats a good way to meet young people like me in this city?

Just to chill with like the old college days (which was pretty much a month ago for me)... Its just kinda tough going from a group of best friends for 4 years to nothing so quickly you know?

Actively looking for friends is never really good thing. Other people can since that you might be needy for company. I always found it best to meet friends either from work, school, or through a mutual acquaintance. I say this b/c its best to know a lil history about the person b4 u take them on as a pal. Otherwise u might inherit a leech!

It also helps to post your gender and age when you post this question I think :-)
