Hi, all...

Okay... I am having a hell of a time trying to remember the location of a place I stopped at, during my first visit to NYC in 2004. I am trying to locate a building that I paused at to rest and eat a sandwich at, when I was walking to the ESB. Now, I know that it's an unimportant place to find, but I want to find it because of the fact that I can't remember where it was, and that is what is bugging me. So... here are the bits of information I DO remember, that I am using as a guide, and so far, to no avail...

- It was in the vicinity of the ESB

- There was a Burger King nearby, and it was a "hole in the wall" type of store... on or near a corner, and with a thin profile, and a single door entrance

- The Burger King was very close to a sign that read "Little Brazil Street"

- The building I seek was made of a "maroon" colored marble/stone, or maybe brick... or at least, the lower parts of it were

- The building I seek had a covered and inset entrance, of glass doors... similar in style to a hotel or business office building

- The building I seek had a central water fountain OR planter, which was in a round enclosure of either concrete or the maroon marble/stone, which you could sit on, at the front of the entrance area, close to the sidewalk, but under the cover of the building's upper structure

So, if anybody can possibly help me pinpoint at least a block where this building could be, I'd be most appreciative... like I said, it's not a significant thing, but it's bugging me because I cannot remember where this was, and I want to. I have been scouring Google Earth, using every tool it has, including 3D buildings, and I can't find this place yet.

Maybe my memory is off, or my recollection of various details is a bit off, but I am fairly sure that I have it right, and for some reason, I just can't find this place. Perhaps that particular Burger King was closed between 2004 and today, or maybe that building was torn down/remodeled? Anyway, if anyone can help me out, much thanks, in advance.

Little Brazil Street could the block of West 46th Street between 5th Ave. & 6th Ave. There used to be a Burger King along that block some years ago. At least one bldg. on that block has been torn down.

Hmmm... thank you for that little tidbit... it does help, because BK's website store locator does not list any current locations in that area, so it may well not be there anymore.

That's W46th, and there used to be a Burger King right near 6th. It's the site that was cleared for the International Gem Tower in 2007.
