I know plenty of people who commute from Philadelphia and it's suburbs and I knew one guy who commutes from Wilmington DE.
Yep....Philadelphia is full of NY'ers priced out of NYC but still retaining their NYC employment.
Bolt, Megabus, Greyhound, Chinatown, and Amtrak are filled with commuters and too behonest once you get into a rythem the commute is not so bad, some have come to rely on it for additional nap time.
who commuted from Rockland County NY to New Haven, Ct (75 miles each way) but that's still half the distance of the NYC to Delaware Commuter!! Imagine having to deal with the NJ Turnpike on a daily basis?!

Actually the NJT isn't bad until you get to the Goethels northbound from there its bad but that means even SI, and Central Jersey residents have to deal with the headaches commuting in....
In the PM going back South once past the Goethels the only choke points are between 8A and 8 where the merge is...and down by 6 where their doing construction of Commerical and Car lanes.
That's nothing! I used to live in Sydney, Australia and each morning take an airplane to Honolulu, Hawaii, then take a ferry to LA, and then, finally, a greyhound bus to the big apple. Then in the evening, the same route all the way back to Australia.
Have to say that it was a little tough at times but hey, it's worth it. It's New York anyway.
in 2006 I commuted from Philly to Downtown Brooklyn every day. Door to door it was about 3+ hours each way.
Now I walk less than 5 minutes to work everyday and I've been doing it for almost 3 years now.
Trust me, I know the meaning of the saying that you can't have pleasure without pain.
