Help!Where is the best area to live in the middle of the manhattan and white plains!thank you (Pelham: to rent)

Hey,me and my friend want to live together,shes now study around 5th ave,and after this year she will move the white plains,so we want to rent a 2br aprt also close to both of them.please help.can u please suggestion some safe and nice area,thank you so much!

Washington Heights by 181 street is REAL nice and CHEAP TOO!

Best bet is probably in The East Bronx.Maybe Pelham Parkway or City Island.
It's a nice,safe area with lots of parks,an east side subway( 5),express busses that go down 5th Ave ,Bee line busses to White Plains and entrances to the parkways and I 95.Rents are pretty low too..probably 1,100 or 1,200 for a 2 br.

bryant gardens is agroup of coop apt im not sure if they rent but its safe and nice in white plains
