This video is a good showcasing of hipster-dom, but it includes bad language so if you're offended by that, don't view.

Plus, hipster dog.

I think hipsters are a mixed bag. On the one hand, they have decent taste in music and not all the fashion they've made popular is bad (I like guys in tighter, though not skintight jeans, really like non-skanky hipster fashion for girls). Politically, they're not terrible. But if you've ever tried to talk to a group of hipsters at a party, their faults become really obvious - pretentious, condescending, immature (some), and their parents have or give them way too much money.

Well...all right, but just make sure it's not the last word in the sentence. You don't want people to mistake you for a Californian, right?

Default Why is there so many weirdos in Manhattan?

I know theres always been weirdos in Manhattan but i think the number has increased by about 50X. I dont spend as much time downtown as i used to but yesterday i really was disgusted in manhattan.

Everywhere i went was all these odd looking people that looked like maybe they got off the bus from Kansas or something. Hipsters everywhere. Its really sad what Manhattan has turned into. I really used to love Manhattan and always wanted to live there when i was younger. Now I think its like some land of the weirdos.

I was in Manhattan yesterday... from the Philadelphia area... and I felt like I was more of a native than all the people I saw. I didn't hear one NY accent (first time ever.) Lots of hippie type people from perhaps the west coast.

Unfortunately they take the blunt NY attitude and turn it into a snotty hipster attitude. Ugh. C'est la vie I guess.

Is Kansas such an exporter of weirdos? I had no idea! Then again, we're almost probably relocating to Manhattan from the Midwest (with some stops along the way in California, so perhaps some west coast weirdness has also rubbed off), so maybe I'm one of those weirdos, too. Guess it depends on the definition of weirdo.
