Are you looking for a tourist cruise in New York harbor or around the island or one of those cruise-to-nowhere cruises on a real cruise ship?
My favorite harbor cruise is the Pioneer from the South Street Seaport Museum. It is a sailing ship and you can help hoist the sails. It is wonderful to be so close to the water and it is wonderfully quiet when you are on sail power. Some folks bring snacks and picnic on the boat. My favorite bargain cruise is a ride on the Staten Island Ferry. Neither of these are narrated tours, but they are wonderful experiences.
