what can mum do with kids? do churches offer playgroups? are there music classes or jazzersize classes where i can take my kids?

thank you sooo much for helping!

As a mom with two kids, I think I can help. Is money an issue? How much are you willing to pay for rent or mortgage? Are you willing to buy? Those will factor in where you live. If high rise and an issue than Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights will be your best option. As a mom raising twin girls ages two, I think Park Slope would be best. You could get a Brown stone giving you and kids enough room. Depending on what you are willing to spend Manhattan apartments are quite small. In Park slope there are parks and shops and everything at your finger tips just like in Manhattan. I not sure if you are thinking about a car but with two kids you need a car for sure. Getting around the city using public transportation I will not recommend at all. It is a hassel and stressful. There's train station in Park Slope so your husband will be able to communte ok. There are tons of churches in that area so you just have to choose one that is good for you.

If money is no object and you can afford Manhattan is great also there is so much to do and it is family friendly also from parks to kids things you name it, right ar your finger tips. Yes it is crowded and very fast pace but that is the whole point of the city. Although you are still in the city I also reccomend you get a car. Living in the city can be great but sometimes you want to travel to surburbs or other areas for fun times with the kids and you dont want to depend on taxi especially since car seat is needed you have the flexibility to go and come as you please. NYC has a lot to offer and I'm sure you want to travel outside of Manhattan for fun stuff with the kids.

Hope that helps but if you have more questions please ask I know how it can be moving and having kids and trying to settle in and fit in and making sure kids needs are met.

Also I'm not sure how long you planning on staying in NY while there are good schools most schools are not and are over crowded so you likely will be investing in private school of some sort but that is years from now.
