I'm a 32/swm, recently moved to the area, and while I am into the bar scene, sometimes find it boring just going to a random bar sitting there... gets boring. I prefer bars with something happening, something going on, whether its karaoke, board games, poker, trivia, other games, ANYTHING.

Does anyone have any suggestions of bars in NYC that are fun? Thanks!

I would suggest Wicked Willies. It's an awesome bar. There's a bar of course but there's also a small little lounge in the front, a dance floor with stripper poles, two or three beer pong tables in the back, then there's an upstairs for karaoke and there's also a roof top to chill at and I believe another lounge upstairs. It's really a lot of fun and a great time. You should definitely check it out.

There are so many I can't list them all. Chek out "TIME OUT NEW YORK". It lists everything going on in NYC and has a cool sectin for Bars and Clubs that provides details including if they have activities.

How about a bowling alley with a cool bar/restaurant and events that come/go periodically? Check out Brooklyn Bowl.

+1 to this. Love that place!! Shuffleboard, ping pong, pool, etc.

Also, Bowlmor - bowling alley with a bar. Near NYU- want to say University Place and 10th, 11th??

Also, Dive 75 on Upper West Side has tons of board games- nothing organized, but you're welcome to grab Trivial Pursuit, Connect Four, or any other nostalgic game off the shelf and play with friends.
