I might also suggest not worrying about getting an entire degree. If you already have one degree, just take some CS courses as a part-time student. Practice on your own time as well. Then once you feel you have some ability start applying for jobs.

OP, you might want to contact some companies that you might be interested in around your area, and ask what they would expect as far as educational background. It is possible that online degrees are available that would be acceptable, but I would assume that they would be expensive and still require some kind of on campus attendance to add legitimacy.
Also, though it seems obvious, as you are still relatively young, might you be able to find some work when your wife is home, even if it's only part time to help pay for school??
