In your opinion, where can you find the best deals, in terms of space and quality of the apartment, on rental studios in Manhattan in the $2000-$2200 price range?

The best deal in Manhattan for space, quality, amenities, and train access is Financial District. There are many studios in that price range as well.

If you are literally talking just about space and quality of apartments I would say upper East Side..... far East........like Yorkville. There are a lot of very decent buildings with pretty big apartments there and the rents are lower than a lot of Manhattan because it's a pretty boring neighborhood and a long walk to the subway.

Another vote for east-upper east side/Yorkville. Train access is bad but that will change a bit when the 2nd avenue line opens in a few years.

FiDi is too touristy for me and I just don't care much for the vibe in general.

You can actually find studios in the price range all over Manhattan.

Depends on what you're looking for, although you'll find most Luxury studios tend to be in the Financial District/Battery Park neighborhoods. The Upper East Side has the majority of the studios in that price range although there are so many of them and they vary wildly in quality.

I'm a realtor so I know these things, it's probably best to work with a Broker to really find what you're looking for.

Hope that helps
