@ South jamaica dude... I only worked there for 3 months and I dealt mainly with the math department, I worked with Ms. Gordon. Don't know if you knew her or had her but she was a great teacher. Learned a lot of things observing her in my time there.

I actually work in the south Bronx near Mott Haven and the area called the hub. That commercial area on 3rd Ave is actually ok in the day and evening. It would not be good to walk there late at night though honestly. I haven't experienced any real crime yet thank goodness with the exception of some punk yanking on my tie while walking to my car at 9pm.

I think it should come to no surprise, the nabes in the eastern portion of Brooklyn and the nabes in the southern portion of the Bronx.
