as you may know im from queens and only go to bx for yankees games. but just got a new job in white plains. whats a good blace to live in the north bronx to have a reasonable drive in the morning? bronxguyanese drop some knowledge fam. is the drive up north ridiculous like the lie/bqe morning afternoon mess? i know its ridiculous to be from queens and not know this stuff but my friends from the bronx arent in the working world yet so cant ask them!
doesn't make that much of a difference in the N bronx in terms of commute time and highway miles to get to White Plains as much of the traffic is going into the city from Westchester.
WHite plains is served by the Bronx River(Wakefield, Williamsbridge) Pkwy which leads right into the area by the County Center, RR station, bus station, route 119) and Hutchinson River Parkways(Co-op City, Pelham bay) which leads into Mamaroneck Avenue
Even I 87, route 22, Central Avenue and The Sprain are not far from White Plains and connect to I 287
plenty of ways to access White plains from the south, so there's no difference really

What part of the north Bronx you want to live?
What part of queens are you driving from in order to get you to the north bronx and beyond. My suggestion would be lie to grandcentral then over rfk bridge make left to major deegan interstate 87 and be on your merry way to whiteplains
As for the best place to live in the north bronx is probably coop city especially since you have a car.
Umm...I would have to get more information before I can tell you a place to live. What do you value: i.e a single family home? parking? hi-rises? Amenities? Good schools? Waterfront? Diversity?
I need more information, unless of course you just want a short commute?
