Try Borough Park/Kensington. It's pretty diverse and connected to all the other neighborhoods. Rent's pretty cheap and the area is EXTREMELY SAFE (especiallyw ith all the Orthodox Jews)
yuppies, def williamsburg. North side...I love it there, they have more thrift stores then anywhere in the world closer to the North side, near the bridge. Near 14,15,16.
favorite thrift spot(beacon's closet) trade your old stuff for old stuff. YAY! got me a couple prada's from there.
Mod cut: inappropriate Drive by Marcy projects near Bedford ave, you will see what I am saying. I was a marketer for a company and had to visit all neighborhoods in brooklyn all day long for almost 8 years. and walked in almost everysmall business. I am a expert...I need to get paid for this...I can picture what every block in Brooklyn looks like.
