Moving to NY working in Edison, NJ - Neighborhood to move (Hudson: condo, neighborhoods)

I am looking to move to NY (condo/apt/rent a home) while continuing to work in Edison, NJ. At most I would like to have a 45 minute commute to work (that would include any traffic!!). I am 24 years old so would love to live in an area that is fun and hip. I was thinking BK but the $20.00 charge in tolls is a little much. Does anyone have a couple of ideas as to what neighborhoods would meet this criteria?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

How about Jersey City or Hoboken? Both have very easy access to Manhattan (less than 10 minutes). It takes a lot longer to reach Manhattan from the other boroughs. If you want to party every night, neither Jersey City or Hoboken is going to satisfy you. But if want to party once or twice a week, I'm sure that you will be happy about the amenity that these two places offer. It's much less expensive to live on the west side of the Hudson River and it is actually a lot closer to Manhattan (Jersey City and Hoboken are NYC's best kept secret).
