Oh, I would stay away from the Astoria area. You definitely don't want to be walking along Northern Blvd after dark. The area is predominately white and the gangs roving makes the place extremely dangerous!

I can't tell if you are joking or not...but I have said this in multiple posts and got reamed for it. I cannot possibly be the only one who thinks Astoria is a dump.

I agree, Astoria is way overrated and now they are trying to hype up a worse neighborhood in Long Island City.

There are parts of Astoria I really like. Whenever I am over in the Ditmars area, I think how nice it would be to live there.

I can see calling Astoria over-rated because that's more a function of hype, but calling it a dump? What other neighborhoods do you think are dumps? Just curious.

Why would anyone be walking on Northern Blvd after dark? There's nothing there but warehouses.

I, too, wonder what you don't call a dump. I live in Astoria and happen to love it. Gangs roving on Northern Blvd?? Huh??

As for Wonderland, it's a great artistic collective. I happen to say this from personal experience.
