They are fairly difficult to find in a place where you'll make decent money because those places only hire people who have "NYC Restaurant" experience....it's a chicken & egg thing, how do you get experience if no one will hire you?
well ive read other threads that we a bit older saying to just lie and say you have experience and list a couple random places
All I will say is that lying- even to get a silly waitressing job- will ALWAYS catch up with you. The NYC restaurant industry is fairly small....a small handful of people own A LOT of the restaurants and they all know each other.....if you must do this, don't put any random Italian restaurant on your application....they always know (or are related) to one another!!
sorry,i can not help you , but hope you can find the job soon...
Good Luck!!!
