The area is near Keyspan stadium. How is it to park, walk around, work there in the daytime during the week for a woman?

You won't have any problems at all! Particularly on weekdays. There are always plenty of people around, and the Stillwell Avenue subway terminal (it's the largest one in the system) is two blocks away. Just be careful about eating too often at Nathan's...unless cholesterol isn't a concern.

WOW...you're trying to get this lady seriously injured.

Anyway, to answer the OP question. Yes it's safe during the day but be careful at night time and stay away from the housing projects at all costs and the side blocks that are away from the boardwalk. Using this knowledge and regular street smarts you should be fine .

Hardly; the closer you are to the subway terminal and amusement district, the better Coney Island is. If she was talking about wandering around on West 33 Street, for example, I would never have said what I did.

I was there for about ten minutes one day. My girlfriend and I had never been to Coney Island so we went by subway one Saturday. As soon as we came out of the train a couple of scraggly looking guys in an old junkbox drove up to us screaming, ''hey you, this ain't Lower East Side!''. We turned around and ran back to the subway. Haven't been back since.

lol, you shouldn't have let them scare you like that.

Coney Island is what it is. It looks really run-down and rough and there are always a good amount of drifter-types around. But it's not that bad really, at least outside of the PJ's. However I wouldn't really recommend hanging around late hours.

Keep in mind that during the winter it gets dark at 4:30, and there aren't as many people around Coney Island during winter (at least not the desirable ones).

I would not suggest a lady working in the area without a male friend escort.
