Last night my dog Jager who is in Brooklyn for the first time got scared and slipped out of his collar. He is black and tan and about 40 pounds. He is shy at first, but very friendly and will most likely come up to someone walking a dog (he loves other dogs) He was last seen between Avenue T and Marine Park. If anyone has seen him please call: 410-271-2774. This dog means the world to me.
post this on Brooklynian.com there are several sites in BK that are used for posting found animals. People on Brooklynian will link you. I'm on my phone now and can't. Good luck
So sorry to hear that! Try NY Animal Care & Control too: New York Animal Care&Control ( AC&C )- the largest pet adoption organization in New York City. Dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and rabbits available for adoption in NYC, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island. (http://www.nycacc.org/lost_found.htm - broken link)
So sorry! I'd be devasted too. I'd post everywhere (Craigs List even) and put up notices. Do whatever it takes. And as the previous poster said, definitely check with AC&C because someone may have found him and dropped him off there. Good Luck.
Please post everywhere. It is hard for a dog to survive on the streets and there are people who will abuse dogs--not to mention the cold weather. Call rescue groups in your area, place ads in local papers, schools, church, etc., ..do whatever it takes.
Any updates - ? Would try posting in the local papers, some will do it for free, post flyers where your dog went missing and send to all area vets, also offering a reward should help ($$ motivates), best of luck
