Didn't Clinton Hill used to be Bed stuy?

The area north of Dekalb within a block or two of Bedford either way, used to be Bed Stuy - the northern boundary of which was Flushing ave. I have seen that area referred to as "Williamsburg" presumably because of its population of Hasidic Jews.

nothing really directly relevant to Nostrand and Halsey.

More aimed at #14 and 15. "Bed stuy is just completely terrible" I have relations who routinely walk down Bedford Avenue at night, in what I would define as Bed Stuy, without fear. To me thats a huge change in Bed Stuy. And not really consistent with "Bed Stuy is not a nice area. period. " But I think that latter impression is explained by the evolving definition of the neighborhood, such that areas that have become safer, are no longer perceived as parts of Bed Stuy.

bedford was always one of the quieter north-south avenues....except for that park near hancock street, they used to shoot there quite a bit back in the day
