I was born here and can't stand it, unfortunately i can't move until early 2012 because i'm trying to save some money. everyone wants to move here, well let me give you 10 reasons why not to move here
you guys can post 10 reasons why you should move here
1.Too cold in the winter time
2.summers are disgusting and sticky hot
3.unless you're a rich yuppie all of your hours will go towards working
4.unless your a rich yuppie who can afford 3,000 dollars a month for rent in manhattan you'll be stuck living in a filth hole
5. traffic is horrible
6. subways are filthy
7. rude people who know that they have more than you and will have no problem making you aware of that
8. everything is over priced
9.racism
10.hard to find a decent clean park
don't forget to submit your 10 reasons as to why you should move here or shouldn't move here
Unfortunately, nobody cares what you like. Or what you think. Or that you want to leave. Or where you're going. NYC is one of the world's most popular cities (and for a reason), no matter how much you hate it. There are millions of people who would love to take your spot and who will take your spot the second you leave. I'm not trying to be rude, and I know it sounds harsh but it's true.

Depends on your definition of "too cold". I lived in Syracuse, NY for most of my childhood and it seems like most people are wimps when it comes to the cold.

Plenty of average, everyday people working and living in NYC with time to breathe.

I live in Manhattan, in a very large and clean 3br apartment that's well-maintained. Not even close to $3k–actually under $2k.

Guess I wouldn't know since I take advantage of not having to own a car.

Clearly you haven't been on the subways in other cities...

Didn't know this was exclusive to New York.
