Many people have been leaving NYC in the past 20 years.

I want to know if many of you don't ever intend to leave the city, and would you ever recommend people to move into NYC.

People have been leaving NYC? The population of NYC has actually grew by about a million people over the past 20 years. Just look at the threads on this forum, many dream of living here, but few can afford it. People don't need to be convinced to move here, the city sells itself.

A lot of New Yorkers have been moving to the south in places like ATL, Miami, and Orlando.

And many of them end up coming right back to NY, either cause the nightlife isn't the same, public transportation is limited, or jobs are to few and far between...

I agree.

I think there is no reason to leave NYC.

The only reason I haven't left NYC yet is because I haven't saved enough money to move out. I've been here my whole my life and I'm ready to start see what the rest of this country has to offer

I'm sure a lot of people from ATL, Miami, and Orlando moved to other places too. NYC is one of those cities that you either love or hate. If someone has to be convinced to move here than NYC probably isn't for them.

The only thing that can keep me to stay in NYC is $$$$$$$$, friends and of course women, at the moment Im having badluck with one of the two so now im Content. But I wont remain here eventually unless I get both $$$$$$$ and women. There seems to be more potential outside of NYC, as we get older its hard to make friends especially moving to another town.
