Yep, some guy on the Internet says there's no scene, so it must be true. Lost cause, definitely.
As George said above, of course there is a scene. It's just god awful in mine and a lot of people's opinions. I was telling that other guy that there is no hardcore/punk scene specifically. So if that's not the case, please enlighten us...

Well tonight is DYS, which is pretty damn cool for the East Coast Hardcore fans. If you want a great punk rock and roll band check out The Threads. They are a few guys from the LES Stitches. They are an amazing live band with great songs.

Heard about this last minute, I think they are playing with Antidote too.

LES Stitches were pretty good. Never knew about The Threads. I'll check it out later, thanks for the heads up....

Cool man. I'll check those guys out and see what else I can find on my own. Speaking of NYC punk bands I believe H2O still plays on occasion as well.

LES Stitches, of course, got a lot of their popularity out of opening for Murphy's Law back in the day. And they are also still around and playing; I caught their set on New Year's Eve.
OK, disclaimer: Jimmy G. is a friend of mine, I'd be drinking and being crazy with him even if Murphy's Law weren't still playing.
Iconocide is still around entering their third decade.
Also worth checking out:
State of Decline.
Perdition.
And, in a completely different direction, but guaranteed not to be what you expect them to be:
High Teen Boogie.

When I said there is hardcore scene anymore, I guess I was comparing it to how it once was when there was, ya know, a scene. So relatively speaking, c'mon man, you gotta admit it's pretty f'n dead. I already stated off the bat that some of these old school bands play once in a while. But it's like a ghost town of how it once was.
Thanks for the suggestions though. I checked out Perdition. Pretty good, but they're from Pennsylvania. I couldn't find anything from State of Decline. And High Teen Boogie was pretty meh. I'm sure they're bangable though lol......
