I heard about this awhile ago and this is of course great for the area. What's not to like? More retail, affordable housing, and commercial space instead of auto-shops and abandoned lots/buildings.

Rezonings will need to continue to take place to support Mayor Bloombergs plan for 120,000 affordable units by 2014. Supply of available land comes up, price per buildable foot goes down, more developers file for city subsidy funds to build more affordable projects. Its a great thing for the Bronx.
