An example is when 1 group of people Kills another group & boldly wants to put up a center in their habitat.
But that is what I'm trying to argue!
9/11 was a terrible, horrible tragedy. But again, you are equating all muslims with terrorists. Its not one "group" vs the other. In your argument, you are essentially saying muslim = terrorist.
This is not about 9/11. The Mosque is not on ground zero. Its in lower manhattan. Its a community center with peace abiding citizens. They are not terrorists.
My point on freedom of speech is that it is an american liberty. You can say whatever you want. Your claim is that freedom can be denied based on sensitivity. So would it be ok to restrict freedom of speech in the future? I'M NOT EQUATING 9/11 TO A DISPALY OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH. I'm not sure where you got that impression.
It is about 9/11.
If 9/11 did not happen we would not be having this discussion.
Everyone has a freedom of speech. I never said they didn't or denied it.
Remember you can't be so thoughtless of the people who died at ground zero

The point with the situation is they want Americans to be tolerant when Americans are very tolerant of muslims, its muslims who are not tolerant of us.
I just would like to state that I am actually against the mosque. It just seems a little fishy that they want to build a comunity center with a mosque in it where Islamic terroist commited acts of agressions. I also found it a bit suspicious that the imam who is the head of the mosque building site said that they want to build the mosque to bridge gaps between non-muslims and muslims. Why not use that money to build JUST a community center? Or better yet, why not set up a program for the family of the victims of 9/11? I don't hate muslims, but I do have a problem with Islam. Please don't call me an Islamaphobe. I'm willing to share my personal feelings about the ideology in a calm matter.
We are not denying freedom.
There are muslim centers all over the U.S.
Its a sensitivity issue with respect for the people who died at ground zero.

I am with you guys. If a Mosque should be built they should be as far as possible from ground zero. It is a disgrace for Obama allowing this to happen. It is very disrespectful. I mean not all the Muslims are the same, but people should have at least some respect for the people that died on that day of the 9/11.
