Looking for recommendations and advice from anyone who keeps a car parked by the month in Queens and only takes it out on the occasional weekend --

What are some good, reputable, safe lots or garages?
How do you book and pay for a space (in advance, or monthly passcard or what)?
What is the typical cost for this?
Is there anything else specific to know -- re: insurance, weird opening hours, etc., access to trains, etc.?

I have poked around online, but it's hard to find specific information (for instance, how it's done), and also I would want a place that's recommended.

Thanks for any help!

Hi,

My brother rents a garage from somebody for $200 a month (current 2016 cost).

Train access depends on where in queens you will be. Car Insurance depends also if you are a new driver or if you have good driving record.

Don't know of reputable lots for parking. Sometimes people put out signs garage for rent.

I just realized your post is from 2011 and you probably found a place.
