Natural enemies - m.NYPOST.com
I know the tension is there. The city needs the state to support its people and the.state needs the city for its revenue. Do you guys think bloomie and cuomo are enemies at best and will fight over the fate of nyc? What you guys think?

I agree they both suck bigtime. I have a feeling NYC may go back to the way it was during the seventies and eighties if this Mayor vs Govenor debacle still presists with one another. One benefits the rich glitz and glamour and the other wants to destroy peoples lives across the board. Niether serves the best intrest of average New Yorkers. I know one thing for sure I'm no fan of Bloomberg, I got to see how things play out with Cuomo JR.

It is Bloomie's job to fight for every dollar and make a stink that we are not getting otu fare cut..that's what a Mayor is supposed to do. That being said, Bloomie, as much as anyone, understands the deficit NYC AND NYSTATE is in, so although he is making a stink, they are not enemies and will work together.
I do not believe NYC will go back to the 70s and 80s in just about any way....mostly because that's not what Bloomberg is about. If you want the usual divisive politics, you should have voted in a Democrat (Thompson to be exact), Bloomberg ain't about it.

But why are we ALWAYS in a deficit. Things get raised all the time yet we are still in a DEFICIT.
It seems as though, it is never ever enough.
Cut teachers, firemen.......what about the bloated higher up office people that probably do nothing all day long.....

Sounds like another NY Post creative writing story to me.......sort of like laying the blame for the blizzard debacle on the Sanitation workers.
The Post just makes stuff up to create anxiety and push a political agenda.I don't believe anything in The Post any more......I read it for entertainment but wouldn't count on it as a source of factual information.

The Post is the written example of Fox news..it is not news..just entertainment. Bill O'Reilly, on Bill Mahr's show on HBO, said it himself: Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, are not journalists/news shows, they are entertainers. Presumably then, there are no news shows on Fox, just entertainers...O'Reilly included.

I think despite both being liberal Republicans, Rockefeller and Lindsay will keep fighting over the city.
Wait, what?
