like today, 1738 Monroe Ave(bldg torn down but is near E 173rd street) and Findlay Ave between 170th and 169th streets, zip codes 10457-56

i ask because my mom grew up at the first address and my folks lived there when they were first married and my grand parents lived at the second address and i visited there when i was a little kid

In 1977 my dad drove us thru those areas after a Yankee game.

are they any better 34 years later?

Its Mount Eden a subsection of Concourse. Personally I dont know the area cus I hardly venture west of Webster Ave, but Im sure the area are visually much better than in 1977.

I'm not a fan o Monroe avenue, but I can say that he area surrounding the Bronx Lebanon is definitely improving. I wouldn't be surprised to see that area gentrify in the next couple of years.

True. Same with the Aldus St. area in Hunts Point and areas south of Westchester Ave. in Soundview.
