Yes, to answer the original questions -- I do love the glimpses of Times Square. Especially walking along Central Park South past Broadway.

I don't love going into Times Square, but I'm glad it's there. It adds tremendously to this great city.

I don't hate Times Square at all. I like the fact that it's now more pedestrian-friendly. The pedestrian malls spread out the space to walk, as TS is just too crowded. And I don't think it's a good idea to go back to the "old TS". Times Square has been there, done that!

Only other place I've been to that resembles Times Square is London's Picadilly Circus and it didn't hold a candle to TS.

Yonge Street defintely reminded me of Forty-Deuce. Last time I was in Toronto was 1998. A long time ago

I live right now at 42nd and 9th and walk through Times Square (at least east on 42nd St, generally not up and down Broadway) to get to the subway, sometimes during peak hours - it can be a circus, but it's not THAT bad. I generally avoid walking up and down Broadway, instead taking 8th Ave to whatever cross street I need.

But they've priced me out of my apartment here, and even though I love the area, I've gotta go. Oh well, that's a topic for another thread.....

If Times Square wasn't as crowded as it is, it would be decent. But having to worry about lighting into someone because they're not watching where the f- they're walking, is annoying. I also hate how overpriced everything is in Times Square.
