So although I hate actually being in Times Square, I love walking down broadway at night and seeing the gleeming light coming around Broadways curves and it really is magnificent around 55 st and broadway just to see the tower of light without actually having to deal with the tourists, anyone else agree?

I agree. I could say the same thing about midtown if it wasn't for Macy's, H&M and Penn station

I honestly avoid Times Square like the plague unless I'm feeling the need to browse the Sanrio shop and squeal at all the pink glittery things. Which only happens once a year, I promise.

The last Play I saw was "Billy Elliott", on a Thursday night. Never again will I see a play, nor walk anywhere near Times Square-way to much congestion for me. When I was young it was fun, I am old now so the "magic" is long gone. You couldn't give me free tickets. I never want to be anywhere near Times Square ever again.

PS: The play was very good.

times square is not that bad. They have alot of good inexpensive restaurants/street carts if you know where to find them. In addition he free outdoor movies at bryant park are often fun(although extremely crowded)

It's alot better now that there are the pedestrian plazas..there is much more space to walk around...when they crammed all those people on the sidewalks it was crazy. It is at least tolerable now, and you don't have cars whizzing by you either so you can actually take in the whole place.
