If you are coming in December, buy them as early as you can. That's a very busy tourist month here and flights in or out will cost an arm and a leg if you wait too long. Most airlines should let you start booking December flights by April. If you look now there may not be as many options because some airlines have not published fares yet.
Try to book as early as possible.
I booked a flight for April to Seoul last month, and I randomly checked prices again. The same exact tickets are $500 more now.
Sometimes when you're searching it gives you an option to look for cheaper dates in a general timeframe. You may want to look at that.
I am coming from Dallas/Fort Worth Texas. So should i book now or wait till april when theres more options to pick from?
Be also open to airports.NYC has 3 and you will find great variance in prices.Newark is often(but not always) the cheapest.
