My family is moving this coming Fall to New York City, specifically we're considering Bronx/Brooklyn/Queens. We can't afford more than $2000 rent per month. We have 2 kids and 2 dogs so we need space. It'd be ideal 1000 sq ft or more. Like 3-4 bedrooms and backyard if possible. We are considering the city because my husband will start grad school in the Fall and we need to be very close to the subway. We'd like to have any recommendations on areas of Brooklyn , Queens and the Bronx that we could consider safe, nice and affordable for our family. It can either be an apartment, a townhouse or a single family house. We would ideally like to be near a park. We don't want to be in an area of high drug traffic hot zone.
