Wow, the OP is right. She's history. And she's gone because he lost the mayor's confidence evidently. (Along with everybody else's) Congrats on the call. You hooked up with the DOE or are you just really really smart!! Either way, you hit the nail on the head.
And just for the record, I can tell you (predict) that he will AT LEAST be received better that Black.
He has been a teacher himself. Much like Kelly was a cop for a long time. Much like Cassano was a firefighter for a long time, etc... See the pattern? Yes he is still a puppet, but the hatred will not be like there as it was with Black.
Well,it's obvious that the mayor,as is his custom, read this whole thread last night on his IPhone after he got into bed and that's when her fate was sealed.

City-data's influence is world renowned! Bloomie, since you will be reading this tonight, please stop giving me so many tickets and fines. Thanks.
I hope this new guy is more effective...only time will tell. Just cuz they have a teaching background does not mean they will suceed or be successful, but it does help silence certain critics at the very least.
Just watched the news conference and it was like night and day v. Black. He was able to open his mouth, answer questions and speak intelligently on the problems in the department he will head.

He's more than just a teacher. He has a social work degree and years as a politician, which gives him a certain level of experience, training and a perspective that Black did not have. Now we will see how he utilizes these skills and if he will be effective in his position.
