That any of us not named "Trump" have apartments that look like the ones you see in the movies, when in reality, most of us live in apartments the size of Carrie Bradshaw's walk-in closet, but with fewer shoes.
1. That it is crime ridden and dangerous (very, very few places are, but NYC as a whole is far from it)
2. That it is very expensive (alot of places are, but alot of places are not)
3. That you don't need a car (you can get by without a car most places, some places you still need one)
4. That it's easy to earn $100K+, and everyone earns it. (It is easier here to do it, but still difficult depending on your profession)
5. That people here are rude (we are actually quite courteous)
6. That it's not "really America" (what is exactly?)
7. That it is dying and everyone is leaving/no middle class (complete BULL)
8. That it is urban, and you can't have a yard/driveway/suburban environment (there are lots of suburban homes/communities in NYC)
9. That it is now "Disneyland" and lost it's soul (more BULL)
My friends and family in Michigan (whom never been anywhere close to NYC) always complain about it..
1. That its dirty and dangerous.
2. All the people are rude..
3. It smells..?????
4. It's very expensive (not all parts)
5. I have had some people say it's too diverse for their liking..
Some people are too unstable to handle anything different....so some are best left to live in their bubble where they won't hurt anyone (or themselves).
