Looking for a place and a Roommate to live in Queen or Brooklyn (Rochester: apartment)

I am looking for a place in Queens or Brooklyn and looking for a roommate or possibly 2. I have been on craig's list everyday for at least a week and have found that most of listing I respond to do not email me back. They also do not leave any kind of contact phone number. That said, I thought I would try and post something here and see what happens.

Here is a little about me.

I am currently in Rochester NY and will me moving toward NYC ASAP. I am 30 years old, keep my apartment very clean and hope to live with people that are the same way. I am very respectful of others privacy. I like to be social and just hang out. I love to cook and Being from the midwest (Kansas) my specialty is BBQ. I like to watch just about any creative show on T.V. like top chef, top design, flip that house. and many more.

I have a cat and she will be coming with me. She is very good, does not get into things she should not, does not and has never scratched the furniture or carpeting. She only scratches her pad and the kitty condo she sleeps on. She has been very well socialized and loves people.

I am looking to move asap. The lease on my apartment has run out. My roommate is nice enough to let me keep all my stuff there till I get a place. I will be staying with a friend in White Plains next week and am not sure about after that if I do not find one next week.

early sept would be ideal for me. the next 1-2 wks would not be convinient.
