When I did my full medical (which is what you're doing on the 19th) they didn't do a drug screening because they weren't certain if there was going to be an academy or not. The $75.00 are for your fingerprints. Honestly, I don't know how long the wait will be for another medical if you choose to not attend this one.
It takes all day because remember there's gonna be a lot of folks there along with you taking this medical which consists of an EKG, eye test, hearing test, blood pressure check, and I think one more thing. First of course, their gonna torture you with paperwork(which you have to fill out with everybody at the same time. Whatever you do, don't skip ahead. If the Sargent catches you, he will make an example out of you.)about your past medical history, jobs you've held, how many tattoos you have and what each one of them means. They might even have somebody photograph your tattoos. They want to know if you've been in any MVA's, ever been arrested etc..
The paperwork is very repetitive, so it would be to your best interest to bring a print out of all of your employers and schools, their address, phone number etc. if you're somebody like me whose had a lot of jobs it will save you a lot of time and googling. Also, while you wait for your medical to come around, get your driver's abstract, and a earnings statement from the social security office, which will cost you some money too.

Congrats lizzy92885, what was your exam number if I may ask? My exam # is 1314 and I just met with my B.I. last week. I'm also wondering if I have a chance for the February Academy. Thank you.
