Started my process on June 14th, 2012. So far I've done the initial interview, the medical (they didn't take a urine sample this day), and the written psychological exam. I was not given a date yet for my oral psych, they said I would be called for that. I have a few questions though:
1) I've called my investigator several times and she doesn't answer her phone. I've left a message for her was wondering if this is normal?
2) Exactly how long does it take to complete the whole process (Medical, both psychs, B.I., mini-medicals, endless amount of paperwork)?
3) Any idea when the next academy is going to be?
4) Do we get paid while we are in the academy?

HI EVERYONE! I haven't been on this site for a while bcause ive been working like a dog! Lol. Now! I see a lot of people want to know how long it takes to get the CALL. First off, focus on getting through the process, if you make it through without a glitch. Then you can consider yourself lucky. However! You will still have to wait a little longer (3-6 months) before finalizing the paper work. Also, be aware that if you don't contact ur B.I you will be in limbo for a longer time! I know is not easy getting in contact with them, BUT U NEED TO! Further MORE, know what ur missing and keep tabs on ur finger prints. If its not updated, YOU WILL NEVER GET CALLED! and again don't be surprise if u go to 1PP MORE THAN ONCE! I did it 3X before I got theCALL.
I jut sit for a exam of traffic enforcement agent and on the exam i got only 85.88%. so do i have any chance to get the job in future? can anyone advise me how much do i need to score to be in safer chance to get the jo????
To get put back on the list you have to send a letter in writing to Dcas with your name, exam #, list #, ss# and state that you want to be put back on the list. Remember you have to do it before the exam expires. After you send them the letter they will send you a notice telling you that your namehas been restored. From there you wait for 1 PP to send you the inital interview letter. I'm a current TEA level 2 (9 years too long) but now I'm processing for Corrections so if you have any questions feel free to ask. I know way too much so I will be as helpful as I can. Yes you get paid from day 1 of the academy. Which is when you have to report to 20th street. The next academy isnt until the end of August or early September.
