I seem to remember the Jamaica Bus Line being the Red Buses and then there was the Green Bus Line too. We always refered to the two bus lines as the Green Bus Line and the Red Bus Line. Was the Green Buses considered the City Bus Line?
Yes the Crash was near Rockaway Blvd. It was right behind those houses near Brookville (just past 147th).
The think the city bus line were blue. There was a green bus line but I don't think they ever went to Rosedale. When my mother took us to Flushing (she didn't drive) we would pick up the Green bus line in Jamaica. The city bus was the Q5A and Jamaica bus the Q111.
As for the crash, I remember that day like it was yesterday.
Does anyone remember the small group of stores south of Sunrise Hwy. on Hook Creek Blvd and (i believe) 253rd St. and the group of boys that hung out there called the creek boys? These stores are sorry to say no longer there nowadays.
We had a football team called Rose's Rebels and we would play other teams around Rosedale. We played the Creek Boys mostly. (I don't remember the real name they called themselves.)
I loved the Big A Diner and Rosie's deli. Rosie's had some great Italian subs.
I found one of the guys that used to run the Big A Diner down here in South Florida he runs one of Lester's diners. He recognized me from back in Rosedale in the 70s. I was amazed...
Does anyone remember a restaurant near the Green Acres Mall that looked like a castle? I remember going there in the 70's. It's closed down now. I can't remember the name of it and it's bothering me.

Can't say that I'm from Rosedale, I went to school there back in mid 70s (1st-3rd grade), PS 138 I believe!
