EUROPE: (european way of building cities were never the same as in the us where u had a small downtown area and large sub-urbs around. A typical european city is dense "all around". Most big european cities have burbs though, but they are denser than american burbs and usually not that big.

London
Paris (HUGE)
Amsterdam
Berlin
Madrid
Milano
Oslo (built in a "weird" way; but basicly a typical european city)

++ more

I might have misunderstood the quote I commented I don't know.

BROOKLYN!!!AKA The borough! Down to earth home feeling. The most populous borough. The best pizza. Authentic neighborhoods. Downtown Brooklyn is the third largest business district in NYC. Prospect park, NY Transit Museum, July 4th Hot dog contest (Coney Island), Brooklyn Museum of Art, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Brooklyn Historical Society, Waterfront Museum, Brooklyn Brewery (Brooklyn Lager), Brooklyn Academy of Music, Brooklyn Children's Museum, Prospect Park Zoo, Empire Fulton Ferry State Park, Brooklyn Public Library, Grand Army Plaza, New York Aquarium, Jewish Children's Museum, and MUCH more. Nightlife, Shopping, Entertainment, the best things any major city can offer!

...And hardly surprising, since Brooklyn used to be an independent city in its own right!

Uh oh...someone is going read this and think I'm biased in favor of Brooklyn. (Guilty as charged!)

The Bronx is best and this is why.

From anyones perspective the Bronx is on the American mainland, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island is not on the American mainland and just American property. When coming from an foriegn country if you really want to step into the united states when you arrive in queens cross the bridge and enter the bronx to really touch american soil. Another reason why the bronx is best because of vast green space such as pelham park, van courtlandt park, bronx park, clairmont park, crotona park, st marys park. Also Bronx has great transportation such as the expressway that intersects and rings around the borough along with great mass transit. Another great thing about the bronx is the icon such as the new york yankees, the worlds most succesful sports team is located in the bronx, the bronx zoo is the nations most famous and renowned zoological center and lets not forget that hip hop started in the bronx.
