This is very interesting. The OP didn't mention what type of realty firm it is, but your response makes sense. I can still understand her questioning it. It may or may not be a good fit, depends on her. But based on the HR person's wording, it doesn't sound too appropriate. I mean, if professionalism is the reason for the skirt, then why refer to grown, working women as "girls"?
